If you had questions about your life, career, direction, etc.- would you go to a psychologist?

OR, would you go to a personal/life coach? If the cost was the same and both were conveniently located.
Would the schooling/degree (of the psychologist) be more important than the life experience, compassion, and no-nonsense advice of the life coach?
Also, PLEASE tell me your age. Thanks so much!
PLEASE pick one! That is the question- thanks!

well if you want a more logical persepctive than you should go to physchologist, if you wanted a more opinoinated perspective than obviously a life coach. I would personally go to physchologist because i wish to be one some day and I want to compare ideas and get a opinion on some things that I’ve done. My parents wont let me see even counselor though so I have to deal with things myself but I understand how its not that you cant deal with things yourself and its not that you want these people to make your decisions you just want someone to talk to that wont judge you or tell on you. Also dealing with things yourself leaves you vulenerable sometimes because if you get over burdened at the wrong moment you could make some really regrettable mistakes. You dont want to try to fix things the wrong way. I wouldn’t go to either! You are your own life coach and you can also
be your own shrink!Allowing somebody else’s opinion to make the choice for you is not your choice so in the end you might not end up
    with the right answer!

I wouldn’t go to anybody. I worked many years on building my own temple ( my body and my mind TOGETHER ), and I can say that I’m my psychologist, my doctor, my life teacher ( if you want to talk in psycho- language ), but I know that many ppl can’t do this. I support the psychologist idea, for real ! Why to suffer every day, if somebody can pull you off from the pit ? The world can only maintain a balance if everybody is okay, physically and psychically, and we don’t have the same character, for THIS reason are psychologists

i would read self-help books, new age stuff and the bible. listen also to audio tapes about self-help and new age stuff. the more you do these stuff, the more you understand the reality of life. the answer is within me through meditation also self-reflection and self-discipline. the process never ceases as long as you’re alive.

i wouldn’t go to a psychologist. self-help authors and new age authors are psychologists.
