How big is this can of worms (Melbourne Storm)?

Players, coaches, managers, administrators, ceos, even News Limited must be implicated. Many of our civil and criminal laws seem to have been laughed at by these people in order to buy themselves more real estate, many others have lost money, many fans are disillusioned and the game has suffered a loss of respect.

If I were a Storm supporter I would be livid right now. I hate them already – Smith Inglis and Slater’s innocent looks just make me nauseous.

I agree with Knights 10 except for one thing…

News Ltd?? Innocent?? hehe who woulda thought

I don’t think it is as bad as all that. No other team has the personnel that the Storm has. Most overspends occur because players are brought in to cover long term injuries. Brett Stewart with Manly and the Tigers half both had season ending injuries. The clubs still have to honour the contracts for these two but must now pay to bring in someone to cover for them for the rest of the season.

The Storm went on a fraudulent exercise. Two sets of books to cover their malfeasance. This was done to deliberately defraud all and sundry. I don’t think we will see anything like this from the other clubs.References :

The only innocent ones I believe in all of this is News Ltd.

Edit: Lol Yeah they’re probably guilty too but after seeing their reaction to all of this kind of indicates they’re innocent but it very well could be just an act.References :
